Birthday Blessings

Let's see if I can recall all of the wonderful happenings surrounding my birthday :-)


I have to go all the way back to Thursday since that is when Mom and Dad were here to pick up Gus and we were able to go to dinner. Yummy Roadhouse with my girls and parents.

Then on Friday my CS gals love me and they know I LOVE the grilled portabellini mushrooms so they took me to Cafe Excell. Then we went to a friends house for a totally chill and perfect evening complete with a little Just Dance on the Wii. IF the dancing wasn't enough of a workout, the laughing sure was!

Then on Saturday, I had a few hours to kill in Aggieland so I got lost in Barnes and Noble for a bit then decided it was too incredibly gorgeous outside to waste it inside a store, so I headed out to the lake. Sitting in the sun, listening to the breeze and the waves~it was utter perfection. I cannot think of a better way to capture the last day of my twenties than sitting lakeside reflecting on the beautiful memories that filled them. Later that day, I met up with Jahna and Jubilee and we headed to the Woodlands for some shopping and dinner with Josanna (fresh back from Spain!) Dan and Augustus for a late night dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Caramel chicken and dulce de leche cheesecake. Am I spoiled or what!!!

Sunday was another day spent shopping and eating delicious food and just enjoying the company of my sisters. We missed our Neabea terribly though and can't wait for the upcoming sister trip!!! After picking up the girls we headed home, completely exhausted!

While I was away, Ryan fulfilled my birthday request and painted the wall in our living room. Doesn't it look great?! He is so handy and he loves me! :-)

Now all we have to do is hang the sconces and this wall will be complete and I will turn my focus towards getting a space set up for the baby.

Looking back over my 20's, There is not enough time to cover all of that but I can summarize...
Here I am, ten years, 2 marriages (obviously 1 divorce) 3 moves, 4 pregnancies, 3 kids and very nearly one associates degree later, absolutely LOVING my life and counting my blessings.

Taking hold of the "today is the first day of the rest of my life" concept, This is my first post with 29 more to come. For 30 days I will post about the things for which I am grateful, past present and future.
