This morning I am thankful for my car. For 3 rows that allow us to be separated from one another on mornings like this. I am thankful that it starts and safely transports my precious cargo to school.
I am grateful that Abigail's school is small and hat her Teachers are involved. That the school is 3 minutes from our house and that Abigail is such a smart, healthy child. I am grateful that she has grown up to be such an independent, and efficient child. I absolutely adore that she wakes up on time, gets dressed and feeds herself. Some days are better than others, and we still forget little things like brushing our hair or packing our lunch, but for the most part, she takes care of herself in the morning which is wonderful!
I am grateful for Amelia's fierce spirit. While I may not always enjoy it, I appreciate it. I will be thankful for every fight we have and every spanking she requires. (Which reminds me...I am so thankful for the freedom to discipline my child.) I am thankful for her independent streak and for her forgiving spirit. This morning was rough, I won't lie. But we are going to press forward, focusing on the things for which we are grateful :-)
I am thankful for coffee and french vanilla creamer. For Journey's PDO and the fact that I only have to work till 3. That there is no soccer tonight. I am thankful that NCIS is on and that I have food in the freezer for dinner.
I am thankful that after a rOtTeN morning, where we all lost our cool, that we can still tell each other, "i love you and have a good day" and mean it. It really is those simple little things :-)
