As I'm playing with Axel, doing "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" and telling he has to get strong so he can beat up sister's boyfriends and Amelia responds, "and thats why I won't date...till I'm like 21!". Also, she doesn't play "school", she plays "college". I love her!
Axel was taking a nap and when he woke he just decided to chill and play for a bit. So as I'm doing dishes I see this little head pop up. He is such a funny, smart little man! I left them in the office for all of 5 seconds to run my cup to the kitchen and Amelia starts screaming...to tell me Axel crawled. Why do they wait till the minute your back is turned?! Silly little man!
I love how social my little lou has become. She has AWANA tonight and was invited to a friends house after school. The friend just lives down the street so she is going to check in with me and we will see what the homework situation is and then decide. I love that she is mature enough to accept such stipulations. Another thing I adore about my mini-me, the best reward I can give her right now is to let her sit on the couch and read while I watch house hunters or chopped. Precious moments like having a few minutes to drink our morning beverages together are the highlight of her day. Nothing in the world makes me feel better!
House is (mostly) clean. We have several choices for dinner. Kids are eating lunch as I sit at my awesome bar and type on the laptop.
It really is a blissful and blessed life.
Nothing else even matters.
